This new series of books, published by Pen and Sword Ltd, cover the period of Anglo-Saxon history from 865 to 1066. They tell the story of the dynastic struggles, the wars and the treachery which made the era so fascinating.

 

Each book is generously illustrated with photographs and maps showing the surviving reminders of the past, and detailing the campaigns that were fought by some of the greatest kings and one very great queen of English history.
